Two-phase flow measurements with advanced instrumented spool pieces. SciTech Connect. Turnage, K.C. A series of two-phase, air-water and steam-water tests performed with instrumented piping spool pieces is described. The behavior of the three-beam densitometer, turbine meter, and drag flowmeter is discussed in terms of two-phase models. Results from application of some two-phase. A low gravity experimental set up was designed and flown onboard the NASA/KC airplane. Some results of this experimental effort are presented. The cooling liquid for these experiments was liquid nitrogen. The boiling phenomenon was investigated in this case using flow visualization techniques as well as recording wall temperatures.
HYBRID FLOATING BRUSH SEAL FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE HIGH TEMPERATURE ADVANCED GAS TURBINE APPLICATIONS Abstract: The present proposal offers the possibility of a technological jump in the use of Brush Seals, which in themselves represent a novel technology presently being incorporated in the new generation of jet engines. multiphase heat transfer. R.I. Borja (Ed.): Multiscale and Multiphysics Processes in Geomechanics, SSGG, pp. 29– c Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 30 A. Niemunis and F. Prada 2 FROM 1D TO 3D HYSTERETIC MODEL The hysteretic relation between stress and strain is not unique. Unique stresses are obtained at the reversals of the strain path only. Investigations of a similar formation of F aircraft and a dissimilar formation of a lead KC aircraft and a trail F aircraft were conducted. The analyses determined the effects of varying airspeed on the optimal position. In addition, flight control surface deflections were taken into account during the analyses. Both investigations.
